Color and touch.  . .  those are my main factors with anything I work on.  Color and touch are what I use to contribute to brighten someone’s day. My personal interest in the projects themselves is what keeps my needles busy.

I learned to knit from my mother – – just basic knit & purl – – even though she was extremely proficient – and prolific.  Any projects as a child took a long long time to complete.  Luckily I have speeded up since then.

I feel that my pieces should be practical additions for anyone’s wardrobe/fun.   I use acrylic yarn for ease of care for all my projects.  The shrugs are my own design, which came from watching a knitting show – and said – I could do that.  My scarves are also “free form” – – knitting what looks and feels comfortable.

Color and touch – again comes into play with the hairpin lace items.  I taught myself how to do the strips – – and got help with learning how to put them together.  Color and touch keep it interesting for me – even after 49 years!!  The color catches your eye, but the touch is what seals the deal.
