My love affair with glass began as a child admiring the colors revealed through the stained-glass windows of religious buildings. As a glass artist, I’ve explored ways to bring the captivating medium of glass art to life. Working in both copper foil (made famous by Tiffany) and lead came allows me to embrace the best of both methods. Additionally, I incorporate elements of both fused glass (kiln-formed) and enamel paint in my work. My inspiration comes from the desire to create pieces that are aesthetically engaging and technically sound. Every piece I make is an original design.
It is my passion is to create glass art for others to enjoy. I especially enjoy working with clients on custom pieces. Together we embark on a journey to combine your concepts with my skills and talents to make something wonderful.
My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University and a Diploma in Commercial Photography from the Ohio Institute of Photography in Dayton, Ohio. Some of the tools that I use are the composition and color precepts from my work in photography. Relentlessly working to grow technically and creatively, I attend workshops, study books and absorb on-line tutorials.
