We couldn’t do it without our sponsors. With gratitude:
HVCA receives a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs
Huron Valley Council for the Arts has exciting news to share. The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) has released its list of 2021 grantees, and HVCA has been designated to receive an award for operational support. This is a competitive grant program, with more than 300 arts organizations having submitted applications from across the state.
Our award is designated for the MCACA fiscal year of 10/1/2020 – 9/30/2021. During this time of COVID-19 it’s vital that we have such funds to sustain our organization since we have had to suspend so many of our revenue-producing events. MCACA’s Operational Support grants are specifically designed to cover overhead expenses, including staff compensation, utilities, insurance, and the like.
In order to bring arts programming and events to our community, our HVCA team must continually secure the necessary income in the form of sales, sponsorships, grants, membership dues, and donations. We are so thankful to all who value what we do and who support us with their participation and their funding. We all look forward to putting the pandemic behind us and returning to a fuller schedule of in-person events. ~Gaylord Gill, HVCA President
